2017-2018 Tryouts

Open Gym- February 23rd from 2:15-4:30pm in the Gym!

This is NOT mandatory for tryouts. This is simply an opportunity for those interested in trying out, to come and learn the basics of cheer without any pressure or scoring. This is a good way to help get rid of some nervousness before tryouts!

There will be a mandatory information meeting

March 6th at 6pm in Room 120:

A student and/or parent must attend this meeting for a candidate to be eligible to tryout.

Tryouts will be March 27th-30th,2017

from 6-8pm in the small gym

Please carefully consider the following :

Cheerleading involves more time and responsibility than most people realize. You need to be willing to give up a minimum of 12 hours a week starting in June continuing through until the end of basketball season and the Spring sports assembly in April. The demands upon a person's time and energy are great, and all cheerleaders must be able to successfully balance school, cheerleading, homework and their social lives. Cheer takes priority over everything except school. Your various commitments must be taken into consideration before you decide to try out. Camp dates have not been set yet, but will be mandatory for all squad members to attend in the summer. We are a competing squad as well. There are weekend competitions that are mandatory to participate in.

Please read the cheer handbook before tryouts to learn more about the guidelines you are expected to follow during the year.

The approximate cost for each new team member is between $700 and $900.

Please note that fund raising is available, but you are fully responsible for the cost of your child.
