Spanish Classes at MTHS will teach you the language through speaking, questioning, reading, and writing in a culturally and language rich environment. The courses do not stress grammatical instruction, but rather encourages grammatical correctness by modeling correct grammar through storytelling. This method promotes long-term memory retention. It will teach you to relate language to actual objects and actions.

Who Can Register? Anyone interested in taking Spanish as a world language OTHER THAN NATIVE SPEAKERS OF SPANISH can register for Spanish classes. (These classes are NOT meant for native speakers. The content of world language classes at MTHS are meant for non-native speakers - they are not designed to teach spelling, writing, nor grammar to the extent that a native Spanish speaker would desire.)
If you feel you have a good foundation from a prior language course at a lower level, you should obtain a teacher signature to start in Spanish 2.
