Find a Therapist/Counselor

Are you interested in finding a community based mental health therapist?  Your counselor can help you get started. 

There are limited therapeutic mental health services are available to students during the school day.

Make an appointment with your counselor to get started.

Emergency Medical Services - Call 911

If the situation is potentially life-threatening, get immediate emergency assistance by calling 911, available 24 hours a day.

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline - Call 988 or Live Online Chat

If you or someone you know is suicidal or in emotional distress, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Trained crisis workers are available to talk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your confidential and toll-free call goes to the nearest crisis center in the Lifeline national network. These centers provide crisis counseling and mental health referrals.

Family

Shikia Franklin is the Mountlake Terrace High School's Family Resource Advocate.  Shikia is available to support students and families with housing, transportation, food, and other resources.

  • Clothes for Kids - Provides free clothing and school supplies for families in need. 
     
  • Cocoon House - Fosters personal growth and healthy relationships to strengthen and empower at-risk and homeless youth and their families.  Cocoon House helps parents through a free 90-minute phone consultation with a Masters level therapist. Such calls help parents find support and develop an action plan to address the difficult issues they and their teens face.
