The district continues to investigate the technology incident. While this is a time consuming process, it is important in order to understand the full scope of the incident. As that continues, we are working to install a new security software on all district computers. This will be necessary in order for full internet access to be restored. We are preparing to slowly restore internet access once we determine it is safe and appropriate to do so. We do not yet have a timeline for this process. Once internet access has been restored, we can pursue granting students access to their Chromebooks.
First Semester Grading Timeline
As of today, we do not have an update to provide you for when we will be able to complete first semester grading. Once we know more about the status of network restoration, we will be able to establish a timeline and will share this information with you. We are currently working on finding solutions to senior first semester transcript needs and will communicate that as soon as it is available.
Upcoming District Wide Events
- Canceled: District Informational Budget Presentation via Zoom (2/8).
- Superintendent Finalists Community Forum Location change: This event will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Mountlake Terrace High School Gym. The event was originally scheduled to take place in the theater. Live streaming will not be available. A recording of the forums will be available after the event. Those who attend the in-person event will be able to fill out comment cards about each of the candidates.
